The Bronx RHIO

The Bronx Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) is a nonprofit health information exchange (HIE) that facilitates the secure exchange of information needed to improve health, well-being, and healthcare equity for every resident of New York and beyond.

Our Vision: A research-based, data-driven healthcare system in which all providers will be able to securely access the vital information they need – in real time – to deliver and coordinate the best possible care for their patients.

Our Mission: To improve the lives of the residents of New York – and our country – by enabling healthcare professionals to readily, securely access the myriad information they need to provide highly individualized, holistic care.

Our Method: The Bronx RHIO’s new eHealth Data and Research Center (eHealth Center) conducts research, aggregates health-related information, provides thorough data analysis, and facilitates the routine, secure sharing of a broad range of critical data relating to medical care and health-related social needs. 

Bronx RHIO is part of the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY), which connects and enables the sharing of information among the state’s eight Regional Health Information Organizations.
