Participant Management

We want you to get the most out of your Bronx RHIO membership.

Read below for insight on how we internally manage our network of Participants:

The Bronx RHIO Participant and User Databases

Our Participant Database follows each Participant from the start of their communication with us through the organization’s entire tenure in the Bronx RHIO network.

The Participant Database is a key tool for our own internal collaboration on projects for our Participants. Keeping a detailed trail of all our work with Participants allows us to provide the most-personalized services and most-timely communication possible.

Our User Database follows each User from our Participant organizations from the start of their credentialing.

The User Database helps us seamlessly credential and train Users, as well as to provide detailed analytics to our Participants on their staffs’ use of the RHIO.

We can provide Participant and User Database management reports including:

  • Onboarding status reports

  • Integration status reports

  • Document management assistance (e.g. information on authorized signers and contacts on file)

  • Details on collaboration with different EHR Vendors

Participant Consent Reports and Training

Patients only need to consent once at your organization for you to be able to access their data in the Bronx RHIO.

Once a Participant organization updates a patient’s consent value, that information is sent immediately to the Bronx RHIO, enabling the provider to access that patient’s available records. This consent only needs to be obtained once.

The Bronx RHIO wants all our Participants to be confident in their consent process to fulfill their data access needs. We know that accurate, timely, and user-friendly consent workflows are key to assuring your organization can access all the patient data it needs.

The Bronx RHIO works with the Participant’s EHR vendor and registration system to accommodate each unique environment. Then we use facility-based consent reports to further improve the consent process at the organization. To do this, we pull Participants’ consent reports, which reveal the rates at which their staffs ask for consent from patients. We review this data with Participants and advise them on how to create workflows to optimize consent rates. Afterwards, more consent-specific training may be recommended for staff at the Participant organization.
