Data Integration
After becoming a Bronx RHIO member, the next step is to integrate your patient demographic and clinical data.
Step 1: Introductory Call
Once your membership documentation and dues payment have been processed, a Bronx RHIO staff member will be in touch with you to schedule an introductory call. During the introductory call, expect to meet the team and to review your available data and network connectivity. Bronx RHIO staff will then go over the high-level project plan with you, detailing the approach to getting and testing data.
Step 2: Establish Connectivity
Bronx RHIO staff will coordinate connectivity testing with the appropriate network staff at the facility and provide ports for each relevant data feed. EHR vendor staff may be included as well.
Step 3: Design and Discuss
In weekly phone conferences, Bronx RHIO staff will review issues and questions with appropriate staff at your organization and EHR vendor staff as needed.
Step 4: Validation and Testing
The Bronx RHIO requires validation of the data in our system with the site to ensure accuracy. During this validation, Bronx RHIO staff will work with designated technical and subject matter experts at the site to conduct a detailed comparison and review of data in the RHIO compared to the local system(s). These sessions will be repeated as required.
Step 5: Final Testing and Go Live
After completion of your organization’s testing and validation, Bronx RHIO staff will review mapping documents and have you sign-off on the accuracy of the data reviewed in your system. A go-live date is established as part of this sign-off process.
